SUMMARY:Applying the QM Rubric
DESCRIPTION:Course Description\n\nThis workshop focuses on the QM Rubric an
 d its use in reviewing the design and planning of online courses. It is in
 tended for a broad audience\, including but not limited to faculty\, instr
 uctional designers\, administrators\, and adjunct instructors who wish to 
 understand more about the QM process and perhaps become QM Peer Reviewers.
 \n\nCourse Goals &amp\; Objectives\n\n 	Recognize the foundational concept
 s of Quality Matters.\n 	Identify the critical elements of the QM quality 
 assurance program\, including the QM Rubric\, materials\, processes\, and 
 administrative components.\n 	Apply the QM Higher Education Rubric\, Sixth
  Edition to review online courses.\n 	Make decisions on whether a sample c
 ourse meets selected QM Rubric Specific Review Standards.\n 	Apply the con
 cept of alignment.\n 	Draft helpful recommendations for course improvement
  by citing Annotations from the QM Rubric and evidence from the course.\n 
 	Collaborate and network with colleagues through substantive and timely in
 teractions.\n 	Reflect on key QM concepts and whether you wish to serve on
  a peer review team.\n 	Explore the challenges of online teaching by famil
 iarizing yourself with the QM Rubric and a sample course.\n 	Relate the QM
  Rubric (Specific Review Standards and Annotations) to your own course and
  consider changes that might benefit your online learners.\n 	Offer constr
 uctive feedback to improve the QM APPQMR workshop.\n\nCourse Prerequisites
 \n\n 	Access to a computer with Internet access.\n 	Familiarity with a lea
 rning management system.\n 	Basic computer skills: email/attachments\, wor
 d processing\, submitting files\, etc.\n\nCourse Requirements\n\nActive pa
 rticipation is required for successful completion of this course. Particip
 ants are expected to read information and follow directions to complete a 
 variety of assignments and activities.\n\nCourse Schedule\n\n"APPQMR" is a
